Got out with the GT to a well worked area

I was able to get out for a little while untill my knee gave out again, This is why I havent been posting much in finds as I have a bad knee that it makes it hard to get up and down this year.
I decided to try the GT at a boulavard I have been over the last 3 years with several different detectors, my XS2, the Elite, the MXT, the Explorer XS II and even the Shadow X5 and I have got coins with each one of them. My total count is 147 coins now and i know it had been gone over before by a few too before I went over it. Out of the 147 there has been 25 of them have been keepers. 2 Barber dimes now, one merc, 2 buffalo nickles, a War nickle and 19 wheaties with one a 1924 D and a 1909 VDB.
This area is about 50 feet long one way and 100 feet long the other as the house is on a corner lot. The width is around 8 feet wide.If i got futher north on the next lot all I ever got as a couple of new pennies as I think the corner lot is the only one not filled.
Not really expecting to find anything today, but I was going by it wondering where to try and decide why not and see if my Explorer missed anything along the sidewalk where I worked it last summer slow and easy. The first signal with the GT was one of those that I got the first hint of a good signal and doing the Sovereign wiggle was able to get it to sound sweet and get a 179-180 on my meter. Doing my 90 degress pinpoint so I had the target centered, the swith back to the disc mode to check it out I almost didnt dig as it would null a little before I could get a positive signal, so I went around it with the tip of the coil and could get a signal all the way around it. I dug it and with the help on my S1 probe I got this 1912 barber dime. After i got the dime out of the hole the area justed nulled of iron. For the next half hour I got 7 more new zinc pennies. The GT has surprised me again at a site I worked with the Explorer and thought I had it all.

Good find, Rick.

Been playing around a little with the GT.
Those more frequent iron falses that are different from the 2a are interesting.
Have not fooled with it much, but seems that the falses happen on a left to right sweep more often than right to left. Think that this has something to do with the TX side of the coil is on the left side (Tornado, BBS, Detech).

While the iron falses don't tend to repeat, found something interesting with a good sized rusty iron square nail and a dime close together on the surface........

With the nail on the right side of the dime, sounds just like the iron false when swinging from left to right. Only difference is that it repeats. Does not drop out like the iron false does.

Also wants to false more on hot rocks.

Also, iron mask off seems to reduce falsing on iron and rocks.........more like the 2a.

Do you get the same impression??
