Got out with the F70 and 6in coil today...

I only had 45 minutes to hunt so I went to an old school site my friend and I pounded last year. Hunted an iron laden area, used the 2 tone mode and dug all non-ferrous targets. Found 8 trash targets and 3 good ones. The merc is a 1917s and the gold item is the gold-plated top of a fancy pencil. I've found 2 at this site. I've got a lot to learn about the F70 but I really like it so far. It has found silver at this site the last 2 outings. The settings used were sens 70, speed default, no discrimination, threshold 0, and 2+tones. The ground must be nasty as the GB reading was in the 90's.

nice patina! I'm liking the F70 more and more. Nice ,smooth, and a great performer. Its a real sweetheart with the DD coil too. I've got to find the time to get more hours on it, but so far really like it. Its a great companion machine and backup for the F75. glad you doing well with it! Streak!

Don't have a DD coil for the F70 yet but I may end up getting one. The F70 seems like a very easy detector to set-up and use. I'll be looking forward to reading your experiences with the F70, especially with the DD coil. I need to get more hours on mine but I'm also in the process of learning my TDI. I've been trying to divide my learning time between the two of them. There's a huge difference in the two machines. For one thing the battery pack on the TDI is about half the weight of the F70.LOL

You and your short hunts, you do better in your short hunts than I do all day, maybe I need to move. :twodetecting: :fisher:

My ground is high 50's to low 60's or around 5 on a CZ.
Those are 2 of my favorite coins.
