first find in the elementary school playground was a .22 cal long rifle round (unfired). I expect that up here. Found a few pennies a nickle or two and two quarters and some rusty items - maybe logging type items from way back when. The best find - and I couldn't get my camera/telephone out quick enough to snap a pic but I was within 15 feet of a fox walking past me. I talked to it and it started to walk my way then turned back to the path it was taking before I talked to it. Never been this close to a fox that wasn't either stuffed or in a cage in a zoo. What a beautiful and graceful creature God created.

From the finds in the playground it looks like I might have other detectorists in the area - or mabe just a lot of vacationers who bring their detectors along.

Found an old school built in 1924. Going to see if I can get permission to hunt on the property. Its no longer used as a school so will have to do some checking to see who owns it now.

Hope all your wives had great Mothers Day today.

Mike from MI - Sherry says thank you for the Mothers Day wishes.

I hope you get some gold in the water this summer! I know there is plenty in the big lake!
