No jewelry tonight but 54 coins for $24 and another working mobile. Sorry no pics, didn't take camera, to busy hunting anyway.:garrett:

I am a nosey sort. How long does it take you to get $24? Is that converted from pounds? What type of places do you generally hunt? Can I go with you the next time and take some pictures?

Now that I done with all the questions.
I am celebrating my 28 anniversary this week end at an Irish inn in the mountains of WV called Brazenhead Inn. I know, I said Irish. I read somewhere that Scots was Latin for Irish. A real Irishman and his sons built this place out of logs. It is a very friendly, nice and inexpensive place to stay. Nothing is too good for the Misses.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Quite a haul bud. If I found that much I'd stay up all night watching it. :) You need a scanner. Beats a camera all to hell. :)

Good for you John! Dave and I went back to the 'scene of the crime' this week and spent our wedding anniversary at an English pub....the Jolly Drayman in Bethel Maine. And you are correct....nothing is EVER too good for the Mrs. :)

Hi John,
Took us just under 4 hours, and we only hunt dry beaches. It helps when you know the different vacation periods for the different areas here.
In the winter we know the habits of the local population and that helps also.
We're evening people, never go out at the most ungodly hours in the morning like 04:00, 05:00 or 06:00.
At these times I'd probably drive to the wrong locations,
like physically waken but mentally asleep.
Always night owls. Here's a wee pic for ya buddy.

Is the reddish rock sandstone? Are there strict laws in Scotland on MDing? Is it profitable to MD fields in the fall for old artifacts and coins? I need to know these things, so when I come to visit, I will know what to bring.:buds::twodetecting:

Hey forgot to wish you both a happy anniversary, hope you have a nice time guys.
Kinda thought you'd like them caves, they were taken on our small vacation around Scotland.
Fields with permission from land owners, nearly all of the guys on the Metal detecting Scotland forum are land hunters and are looking for ancient relics and artifacts.
I'm trying to put a link in here, hope it works.

All new members are most welcome and would also give a different slant to things. I'm the only beach detector on the Scottish forum so I'm in the minority, I'm also the only guy with an Ace 250 but a couple of guys have the Ace 150.

John n'WVA,The Snow shoe area is second to none far as the scenery and mountain views.A few years ago skied the area for a week and was very surprised how nice, the skiing and everything in the area was first rate.
