...for one last cruise in my boat. With temps in the 70's it was a perfect day to make sure she ran OK and did she ever!!! She ran so good I had second thoughts about selling her but it has to be done, because I didn't take it out all summer and really can't afford to keep it. Dad and I had a great time. We went to an island and walked around the shore looking for lost fishing lures and just enjoying the beautiful weather. The water levels are extremely low and I was wishing that metal detectors were allowed but unfortunately they aren't allowed on TVA properties.

That looks a lot like my boat I sold a few years ago. Had it since it was made and loved it but things change. had a 125 Force outboard. Good luck selling it. I sold mine to my sister who still has it. steve in so az

got a little bonding in and just relaxing...you guys needed that. Too bad you have to sell off the boat. Would be nice to have a beautiful boat like that but not in my budget. Hope you find someone who will give it a good home.

Hey Greg,

Tennessee Valley Authority dammed our rivers to provide electricity and control flooding in TN, KY, and Alabama. Before they dammed the rivers downtown Knoxville and many other areas flooded frequently. Unfortunately, they had to flood many farms and old home sites in the process and when the lake water levels get real low you can find some old foundations. You can still find an occasional piece of broken pottery laying on the shore and old rock wall fences. I got a permit a couple of years ago that allowed detecting only in campgrounds and 100 feet either side of launch ramps. When I got the permit I was told they were going to quit issuing those so now I'm not sure if MD'ing is allowed at all. Another thing people used to do was look for arrowheads in winter when the water levels were down and now it's illegal to take those too.

Glad you guys had fun! Advertise it on the non-detecting classifieds here at findmall!

Thanks Mike, I hadn't thought about that!

but could never afford it or find the time to use it. Sorry you have to give it up. Glad you could enjoy it with your father.
