Got out today

We started off with a yard hunt but the frozen ground was just too tough for a small digger, I ended up with 28 cents there. I thought a field hunt with a shovel would go a lot easier and I did a lot better too. No coins but I did get a Willies Overland Co. plate and a large token that I can't read except it has the months of the year around one side and a advertising thimble, Steel cut coffee, Jo-Beth Co. Jo-Beth Co. was a Peoria dry goods store, 1925.

It was nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air.

It was a beautiful day, at least what I got to see of it....lol
Glad you guys got to enjoy the day & get some diggin' done!

We had a good time, I spent most of the time in the truck playing on my Nexus tablet, but I did get out and do a bit of digging. First inch or so was frozen and then after that it was easy digging. My big take was 2 stinking memorial cents at 7" deep. That wind was terrible. Oh well, at least I got to get out. That was the main goal. HH, Nancy

Good job. That you were able to get out and find a few things is what its all about. I'm waiting for the ground to thaw a bit more before I go back out. That might be a while.

Not looking good this week for diggin' but next Sun Mon & Tue 39 46 & 53. Just in Time to find something nice before the meeting!

With this deep freeze, the ground is going to be pretty hard to dig, but good luck. The wood chips in the playgrounds will even be like rocks. I will need a good thaw before I get back out but we are looking forward to seeing you at the meeting Boyd.
