Got out today with Jerry,

Went out today for about 8hrs and about 6 were detecting. I got 117 coins of which 77 were pennies. Got a junk ring and a couple of more pieces of junk jewelry. One interesting find at the edge of a ball field. A tag that appears to have been on a car key. Oblong about 3 inches long and almost 1 inch wide. One side has the Chevy emblem with words on the bottom commitment to excellence. On the back has an address in Royal Oaks MI and says drop in any mail box postage gauranteed. Now for the goody. More Stadium gold. At the edge of a football field got a 10K gold ring with 16 small diamonds. Inside the band is printed Magnolia 10K and below that the letter Y. The diamonds are in a Marquis shaped setting which is above the ring band on six prongs. Any idea on the name Steve? Hope all had a good day.

Great haul ! The name & Y most likely are the maker's mark. Are all the stones set with 6 prongs ? The more prongs the more likely the stone is valuable. At least one expert told me that. Good day for you guys, steve in so az
