What a beautiful Friday it has been. With yesterdays short hunt due to rain I headed out again today.
This time I hit an area I know just looked prime for some finds. There was an old farm there in the 1800s so I took a gander it has some fields and woods.
Well, I am glad I looked around for a bit.
The ground is nice as butter most spots so digging is great.
My first dig was what appears to be an old big copper buckle but it appears the tang is broken off. There is nothing on the front of it.
Below is a pic of it as I dug her.

Next I go a deep Ind. hit and a piece I dug out of the hole after the plug removed had it right on top.
It is a 95 in not too terrible shape.
Below is a pic in the clump and you can even see how dark the soil is around it.

I also got a Silver 56d and she was in the actual bottom of the plug pictured below.

Here is the area and take a look at the size of this tree it is extraordinarily big and is it tall wow. I leaned my detector to it for reference.
Also,is the fence post area. Then the total finds for the day which where the Buckle, Injun, Roosie, 9 old wheat's, 3 small flatties, a old dog tag, a charm the says "Trust in Jesus" > I like it and a old barrel key.
