Got out to an old reunion ground last night for Injuns, V's and a nice Barber Quarter

Hunted for over 2 hours with nothing but junk and then the last 45 min. I hit a hot spot in the timber and pulled the coins . Will be going back to work this area some more in the near future. Was using TTF and ground coins with the big coil. Covered a lot of ground and wished I had started at the hot spot. Found the Barber at 10 min. before dark and felt much better immediately

On a side note I am finding with the much faster processor I am able to work the moderate trashy areas with the 13 x 17 as quickly as I could with the E-Trac and stock 11" coil.

Nice haul.
Good to see vintage coinage is still out there !

Your Indians come out so nice & patined, mine are always green & heavily corroded, wish I had your dirt in my area, nice hunt!!!

On the nicer ones I use a bath of hot 3% peroxide to clean them.It makes them a bit dark but does not cause the patina to flake and pit like soapy water .

Hey Ray! Congratulations on some great looking coins. Good to see you're still at it and hittin' 'em! Thanks for the pictures.

Good hunt Ray. Congrat!!! Say, I've been working on some settings for my GPS and Mapping. Could you send me the coordinates from your hunt so I can make sure this darn thing is working properly?:lol: HH Randy

Good deal Ray, really like seeing your finds posts.
Got to get mine out there more to find me some goodies like those. Been busy lately so only can get out here and there with my CTX.

Good finds Ray, way to represent Team MO. Your success encourages me to try out the 13x17 coin in more trashy spots.

Super nice finds Ray - love that Barber quarter and the indians are in GREAT shape (those V's aren't shabby either) Congrats!

Awesome finds,Love the seated quarter also, that definately was an old reunion grounds!

Its funny how the hot spots show up at the beginning or the end of the hunt, glad you found one:clapping:
