My wife and I got out to an older park that dates to the late forties today. We found a little clad and I got a 1959 Wheatie, which was in good shape for our area. I also got a very worn Mercury dime, date 192x?. My wife got the find of the day though. She dug a 1963 George Wallace inauguaral coin. It was a little bent but we thought it was pretty neat.

Congrads, Nice finds!

I think the ground has gone away.... I think the snow dissolved it.

Nice finds !
Also, I've fixed many bent coins - just put the coin between two 1/2" to 3/4" thick blocks of hardwood and hit it with a hammer - keep spinning the coin till and hitting it till it's flat again.
The wood keep the features on the coin from getting damaged.
