Got out for an hour to my local Silver hole.
The first MD came in chippy 11/42, must have been on edge.?
The other MD came in solid 12/45.
Really nice weather tonight.

I cannot remember a silver dime ever coming in at 42, mine are always 45.........wheats are normally 41-42 for me

I've had a worn barber come in at 42 and would not budge 360. Shallow and ended up scratching it....what a surprise to pull out silver instead of a wheat. Thanks for the picture TPM! Keep'm'comin'!!

Maybe its the crappy acidy soil here in NH? I've gotten a a couple MD and a barber in the 11,12/42,44 range.
But, if it's sweat and it repeats, I dig it.

Go by tone but I do look at the numbers too. My 1898 barber last week came in at 12-43. Most of my silver dimes come in between 12-44 and 12-46. Wheats come in all over the place between 12-38 thru 12-45

Nice finds great silver.
I've had 30% of my silver finds come in at 1-30,1-40,11-42,12-43,and 12-44...the rest are usally 11/12-45/46.
