Got out for a few hours with my repaired SE

Worked fine. I will only using it for rel;ic hunting now..since I am not in Az any longer...not much detectable gold in NH and MAine...actually..did you know it is illegal to use a detector to find gold in most NH streams...kinda odd.
Anyway, it basically performed in a similar fashion as the Cabelas versions...accept the audio is completely different. I personally like my Cabelas versions audio better for relic hunting. I think the SE audio is way better for gold prospecting though. The Cabelas version does not have modulated audio in disc and the low growl for iron is alot lower than the SE and is more easily discernable from the hi tone on deep targets. But they both are as deep as the other...just the SE audio is modulated so deep taregts are very soft. Unfortunately I have tinitus from working aircraft in the military so soft audio is hard to hear for me at times even with headphones. When you have ears that ring constantly...you always hear a hi tone.....bummer.
Anyway, I knew what it could do and glad it finally does it. I would say depth on all coin/relic targets was easily on par with a regular f75 ( non boost)...which is o.k. with me. It is easier to swing and carry than the F75 which I find oddly uncomfortable to swing for some reason.

I'm happy to hear your Gold Bug S.E. is working great. Have you tried the 11'DD coil to
see if it's any different ( tones, depth, target #'s ) in comparison to the Cabella's Gold Bug?

..met a few people while sluicing in NH that did quite well there with a sluice. Would like to try it...but my gold partner quit along time ago.

...that was all I used ( the 11"DD)....seems to be work identical on both. The depth is off on both as I am sure they calibrated the meter to the 5" puck coil. Basicallt things are deeper than they say by atleast an inch ....more so on coins...less so on small buttons etc.
