Got out for a bit yesterday

I was not as fortunate as Luke but I sure got a good workout walking the fields with 5 pounds of mud on each boot and the fresh air, and just being outside was reward enough. Doesn't that sound like a bunch of B.S. for not finding squat?

Daryl and I was looking for signs of life past in a once was town. Daryl found a few goodies but old coins were still hiding real good. Really though, it was nice to get out.

Had a good time walking the field with Larry yesterday despite the clay mud sticking to our boots. I found a copper and gold plated ring, part of a whistle that still works if you hold your finger over the open end, the tip of a whiffletree (I think), and the brass ends of four shotgun shells. No coins but still a lot of fun.

Daryl, What's a "whiffletree"? Don't forget about your crotal bell pieces you found!!!! Never mind........Larry just told me. How did I miss that last night. I love the little whistle. You did good!!! HH, Nancy

I'd rather go and find nothing than not go at all! I got out for a bit yesterday. Came out with a decent 1924 S Merc and 3 wheats.

A bad day at detecting is still way better then a day at work.
