I had to work today and had other thing keeping me busy.
but I hit the cemetery next door it has been hunted alot.
I started by going right down the edge of the drives swinging my coil half on half off the drive.
Soon I hit a set of old keys.Ten minutes later I hit this pendant.It says SS on the back and PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA on the front.
Any ideal what it might be? I'm hoping for a good day tomorrow.
Happy hunting Scott

That is the first post I have ever seen where someone has posted that they hunted in a cemetery.

SS = sterling silver?

Nice finds!! How did you get permission to hunt the cemetery on the edges?

I would love to hunt the perimiter of the 270 year old cemetary next to my fathers house, but I am sure they would freak out if I did.

Yeah I was caught off guard by this too. I'm pretty sure if I got caught swinging a metal Detector and digging in any of our local cemetaries I'd end up in the pokey and would probably not get my machine back either!:garrett:

Interesting find! :clapping: PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA appears to be a Self-Realization/Spiritual organization, check out http://www.yogananda-srf.org/

Usually if you talk to a caretaker at a cemetery they usually don't have problem with it as long as you don't show up with a backhoe. LOL
Most of the time I only check around the only really old stones and in the driveway. Always remind them you are going to carry out a lot more trash than the good stuff.
Happy hunting, Scott

I have at least 4 old cemeteries within 15-20 miles of my house that date the mid to late 1800's and they just "call to me" (haunt me?):lol: every time I see them. To me something just isn't right about detecting them but then again I really want to! That is where you will find really good stuff. I have the same feelings about it as if I were to do it then the cops would be there thinking I am grave robbing or something. Besides most of them are right on main roads for all the world to see you! And with an nice bright yellow ace swinging back and forth...might as well be a neon sign! "HEY Y'ALL HERE I AM LOOK AT ME I KNOW YOU CAN SEE ME!"

LOL
