Got Out After Work - Yesterday and Today:detecting:

We had minus tides in Bermuda at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm (yesterday and today) so I took my gear to work with me both days so I could get in a little hunting after work each day.
The tides were low but the wind was pushing the waves in something fierce on the Southshore Beaches but what's a pirate to do when he's only got an hour and a half before the sun sets? Get in the water, what else can you do?
I got pounded at Horseshoe Bay yesterday so I drove up to Church Bay to see if it was any better. Church Bay is usually unhuntable due to heavy wave action but the wind was just right to let me slip in last night. I found the two silver rings and the 50 cent piece there, plus the brain coral head.
Tonight I tried my luck at Chaplin Bay but the waves were even worse. In the first 5 minutes I had my headphones ripped off my head by a big sucker but managed to hang onto my glasses. About ten minutes later a monster wave caught me by surprise while digging for a good sounding target, took me off my feet and brought me down hard on a large coral head. (tailbone first - did that ever smart):stars:
Enough is enough, so I walked a hundred yards down the beach to Jobson's Cove which is completely sheltered and picked up a pile of clad and the gold ear ring. (also found the sweet coral flower that the ear ring is sitting in)

Here's the Loot

Sorry about not having photos of the hunt but I left the camera at home.

I Hear Ya, GH. It's not a lot of loot for the pain in the @ss I am feeling just now. It's hard to sit down at the moment and I have a feeling that come morning I'm gonna have a nasty welt that I can only see with a mirror.:crylol:

Last night, I decided that I needed a gold fix right? So I ambled down to the surf and bailed in at 1145P. I had eaten homemade chicken soup fer dinner and it wuddin' sittin' too well with my pinch of snuff. Started gittin' a little queazy out there up to my chest! Well the next thang I know I'm chummin'! You ever chummed while you were in the surf? Well I was feelin' a little weak, but I pressed on and the next thing I know, I'm fellin' a little queazy again! Chumsville all over agin! At this point, I was so spent, I was real wobbly! Moved in a little closer to shore, in case I collapsed, maybe they could find my body 'er somethin'. Was also feelin' like after all that chummin, that the sharks may be comin' after me. Well after all that abuse, I got 4 quarters and a crusty clad penny and some more sinkers. Well, I didn't git knocked over by a wave and fall onto the coral, but it was rough my way too. Hope I didn't gross ya out too much! I'm feelin' much better today and ready to go do it agin, but without the chum line! LOL!

I've said it before and I'll say it again "GH, You are one Crazy Pirate!" Keep Your Head Up and Your Eyes Open for Fins.:look:

I'm sorry but that story was TFF, almost made me spit my coffee at my screen :)

You see very little of this while walking on the beach but when I am digging deep targets I often come up with some nice coral or seashells.
I think Hurricane Fabian did a lot of the burying as locals tell me that there used to be plenty of shells on the beach but not since Fabian blew through.

Got to head in to work and see how my guys are doing and get some of my own work done.
