Got out a little in the drizzle this morning...

Went to a local county park and picked up some clad, some junk and this cross:

Mike, here's a side view of that ring I found. It's very small, about a size 4 1/2. I haven't cleaned it up yet, there might be a mark under the crud.

that cross is impressive. One time I dug a medal that said 1830 on it. I was high on the old age till I took it to the Diocese and a priest who has books on old items. He showed me that an event in 1830 was commemorated on the modern medal. So maybe that's the same story on yours. Don't mean to throw cold water on you, steve in so az
 
I only realized it said 1830 after I posted the pic. I've got a couple of them. It's called the "miraculous medal" made in Memory of St. Catherine Labour
 
Looking at a -.7 on the 20th and the 21st. I'm hoping for a good nor'east wind to move some sand!
 
I bet that ring is silver! It looks like it came out of the ground like a silver coin would! (clean) :)
