Well, I decided to give the Infinium a try after lots of research. Going to be using it mostly on salt water beaches, and I know that it has to be adjusted to compensate, but I am willing to use it to it's fullest and see what transpires.
One quesiton I have, and maybe some of you who have used the unit over the years can answer. When done salt water hunting, I need to give the unit a fresh water rinse. Is it necessary to connect the underwater headphones ( which I am not getting...this is a used unit I am getting) prior to the rinsing or can I just cover the head phone connector on the unit without any headphones attached.
I do not dive, and mostly wet sand hunt along with wading in the suds, and the used unit comes with a head phone adapter so I will be using either my Black Widows or Grey Ghosts. I also have a pair of Grey Ghost underwaters that I purchased to hook up to my CZ20, but may want to hook them up to the Infinium. Does Garrett supply ( or any third party vendor) and adapter to hook up the Grey Ghosts and is anyone using different waterproof headphones on theirs other than the stock Garretts.
Any help would be appreciated...thanks !
