I just recently bought a dfx and am wanting to buy my wife a detector so we can hunt together she wants something that is easy to use and i am thinking about the m6 would this be a good choice it also would be my second detector for my use as well as some of the grandchildren....thanks ..thedoc

Doc, the M-6 would be a great detector for your wife. Great performance and very easy to use. In my opinion, it would be a great detector to learn on and your wife will not outgrow it. R.L.

The M6 would be a great choice. Your dfx coils will fit it. Also she may be the one digging good finds while your fiddling with all the options on the dfx! :twodetecting:

[size=medium]experience you have metal detecting, and especially how much you have with the DFX (have you mastered it or not), you might find yourself using the M6 far more than you might imagine. :) I am a White's fan, but not of all models through the years, and the DFX isn't one of them. The XLT is a unit I favor over the DFX, and of all models offered today, my two picks would be an XLT and M6.

No i definitely have not mastered the dfx but i do like a challenge and i know it is not going to be easy ..going to go nice and slow with the learning curve...and yes as long as my wife is digging the good stuff i will not have any problem getting her to go along....thanks for all the input...thedoc

Like khouse said , the coils are interchangeable, That will work out good for both of you. But be prepared to get whipped on a regular basis,That M6 is a top contender..;).....HH..Rich
