Got my Vaquero today...

...and spent the afternoon getting acquainted with it and just digging stuff up to see how the discrimination and audio was.

Ground balancing is easier than I thought it would be.


What impressed me the most was how stable it was. I cranked up the sensitivity to 9-10 and no chatter.
Even bumping the coil didn't cause the beeps I was so used to.


Great sensitivity too - I quickly learned that I shouldn't wear boots with brass eyelets when searching in all metal. :biggrin:


I noticed rusty nails have a distinct thin subdued sound at minimum discrimination.
 
Im planning on getting mine in a couple of months, give us your opinion and first impressions
