Glad you like it. I also have a Silver Sabre uMax. It is one great machine. Fun is what the SS uMax deal in:)

Happy Finds,

Hi again Andy,

Welcome to the Tesoro forum.

Is this your first Tesoro?

Did you get a used Silver Sabre uMax or a Silver Sabre uMax?

Do you still got your 250. When you get use to the Silver, may be you can compare the two.

That would be interesting.

Cheers,

[size=medium]welcome to the wonderful world of Tesoro! :)

Was it a used Silver Sabre

thanks i have hunted this side yard with several detectors and always find something it is the redbutton silver sabre umax works great i have let the ace250 go one meter machine is enough my xlt for that need

That's a great machine. I just love mine. I'm so impressed with how deep it goes and it is just such a park hound. It is so much fun I have trouble leaving it alone. I have a Euro Sabre which is an outstanding performer but the Silver is like an old hound and it's hard to just leave him at home when I go out to hunt.

I have had good success with the SS uMax and it has a place as a one and only detector, or an important element of a person's battery of detectors. It's a deffinite keeper. It's one of those that if you sell it you'll always regret it.

Here are my first finds with the SS uMax. I had already hunted this small area with a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II, a Garrett GTAx 500 and a Tesoro Cibola. I got a clear signal on that brass bell. It was 16" deep. Many years ago there was carnaval and a mary-go-round close to the spot where I found that bell. The Mary-go-round has been restored at a great cost. It is the only mary-go-round of it's kind in existance. It is the only one of it's kind that goes around and up and down at the same time. The horses were restored at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars and are concidered works of art. It is at the Little Rock Zoo now and it still gives rides to kids.

This bell I found is identical to bells that are on two of the horses.

I'd like to hear more from you about your SS uMax.

That's a nice beginning! Seems like you have a start to a very good relationship.

Love the SSumax. Have 2 of them (one for the wife). Modified one with a toggle switch so I can leave it in all metal rather than just pinpoint when I wish. Have made some surprisingly deep finds as well as lots of coins at moderate depths etc. Great for competition hunts too.
