Wish I could post a picture but the wife's out of town with the camera. That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it!
Anyway me, the AT-Pro and the new 5x8 tried out a new park today. Got a large men's sterling ring in the parking lot. Almost sounded like a ring type pull tab with a double tap and ID'ed at 52. Decided to go for it and scored.
Best of the day though was a solid penny hit in the sandy soil in the playground among the bottle caps and foil. This park ain't exactly in the high rent district and there was abundent trash and crack bags. But it rang solid in between the trash noise and a slow wiggle confirmed it. Came up easy and got ready to toss it in the pouch but a quick look and I did a double take. A 1905 Indian Head! In great condition, I'm wondering if it's a fairly recent drop. Woo Hoo! Lady, how did you get here!!!
The parks around here have lot's of competition and I'm finding I'm getting deeper stuff with this coil than the cherry pickers who've been before me I think.
I love this hobby....
