I have had some time off lately, finally i found a cellar that was never hit was finding lamp pieces all strewn all over the place then finally then using the deep tech vista gold i got a real distictive tone and dug about 5 inches there a large cent on edge was looking at me boy was i some happy, its been quite a while since i 've scored a largy never the less the oldest to date soon as i clean it up will post its not going to be that great it is pretty beat.

1798, thats an oldie. I would love to find some thing with 17-- on it. If you can read the date before cleaning it up, it must be not totally destroyed yet. Love cellar wholes when i can find them. Good going, CO

WOW what a find. I bet you get back to that spot

yeah you wouldn't believe was just there and my batteries went dead boy was P/Oed to say the least i usually extra's but forgot to put more in my carry pack so will be going back soon

That is one fantastic find and congrats on breaking into the 1700's club. One day I hope I can get into that club myself.

Nice old cent. HH TIM
