Hello all,

Was late by the time i read owners guide and went thro the dvd,i went out for a few hrs and found some iron junk ,penny,bullet..then just came home to do some air testing on different coins.

I will be doing somemore reading and heading out to a site today for more testing and geting comfortable with what the mxt is telling me,i dont have my 4x6 coil yet its on the way, ohhh and i have a mxt 300 but it has the 9.5 coil

will report back with findings later tonight.

You're on your way to a great hobby and you're going to love your new MXT. Good going on your first finds. Keep us posted and HH, Nancy

I thought the MXT 300 came with a 12" coil instead of the 9 1/2. Thats why it cost more than a reg MXT with a 9 1/2 coil!

Thats right the 300 cost more but i got it for the price of the mxt-e he just changed out the coil to the 9.5....the only differance is the coil and the box is powder coated from what i hear and it says mxt300 on the box..i am sure otheres would know more about this than i.

For the price I think the MXT can't be beat (IMHO), I change modes and coils all the time amd for almost 2 years now have been hunting the same area and use the C/J or relic mode (sometimes w/the trigger forward and am still finding up to $5.00 an outing) been over some spots 3 or 4 times and still pulling out the coins and a little jewelry. Learn your machine and you'll have a great time. Right NANCY. :clapping::clap:

hey floridason,

I know your right,i have been doint my yard over the past few days going over places i have been after getting rid of trash and finding new stuff all the time..
it seems like it really likes the freshly damp ground, makes for easy digging to,i am getting to be comfortable with it ,i have to pickup my 4x6 coil today
cant wait to give it a try..:detecting:

"Too late in the day to read the instruction manual" PHOOEY!! LOL I bet over half of the MXT owners dive into the box and assemble the detector and are flying out the back door (leaving it open) and start swinging the detector LOL. OK Guys, raise your hands and admit it..MXT Fever is uncontrolable LOL
