I have this pouch too, and really like it. Be aware that it actually holds water, so when you get out of the river or lake, you have to tip it to drain out the water. Be careful you don't lose any of your treasures when you tip out the water!

Yes, it's synthetic, so it dries pretty quickly and doesn't seem to mildew. You just have to tip it up to empty it once you leave the water.
