I thought the Sovereign was unusual, but the XS is really going to take some getting used to. Prepare for a barrage of questions. Back to the manual now.
 
Welcome to the world of musical instruments disguised as a metal detector.
It's probably the most challenging detector I've ever owned, at least to learn how to be successful with it. Real easy to get off on the wrong foot (depending on who you listen to) --I'll email you later.
