Got my m6(have a question)

The people who have the M6 and garrett pro pointer, does ur pro pointer cause interference? Bc if I'm about two feet away my detector starts to buzz

Yes. I contacted Garrett and sugested either they come out with a Ppointer that has a different frequency or a frequency change mode so you can use the Ppointer with other brands. Actually the Ppointer runs at about 12Khz while the Whites Bulseye runs at about 41Khz. So when your using the Ppointer next to a M6 that runs at 14.7 Khz there's going to be some cross talk. The best thing is to use the Bullseye or Sunray. I usually run the M6 at full gain so there is no escaping the cross talk other than shutting the machine off or cranking down the gain everytime you use the Ppointer. It's a pain!

If I set the M6 down to dig, I set it with the coil pointed off to the right instead of forward.

Yes mine will do that also but not bad enough to bother me much . I 'm in the habit of removing my headhones while I am digging my targets and if I hear the cross talk I just point my detector away from me and that quiets it down but not sure it would if I kept my headset on never tried that way.I tried using a DX1 on mine also but the cords were always in my way digging unless I set my detector way to the side , this bothered me more than the noise of cross talk did and I was afraid I was going to cut one of the cords someday when I was in a hurry and not paying attention to what I was doing.Morrow of my long post is I learned to lay the detector away in a direction where I didn't hear the cross talk its not a big problem for me .It takes time too get use to your equipment then you will love it . My Mother use to tell me there is no problem to big you can't find away around it .
