hunted a really tiny yard today, I think the house built in 1930-40's. Got 4 wheats, oldest was 1935, my 1st silver of the year, 1943 merc dime. Almost $5.00 in clad, that was nice. Found a spill of 9 clad quarters in one hole! I dug everything repeatable above iron. Surprised I did not get one single nickel?
anyhow here is a dirty pic and a clean pic..lol

Oh oh........ you're giving me the fever! If our temps stay where they are for the next few days, I ought to be able to do a little hunting between the remaining piles of snow! Thanks for the encouragement. HH Randy

Looks like you are off to a good start for the year.
You beat me on the most quarters found in one hole.. last Spring I found 8 quarters stacked on one another when I pulled the plug they were still intacked... haven't figured that one out yet.
I am getting out tomorrow for a hunt with some friends and getting a late start this year due to record breaking amounts of snow here in Virginia. I got out last weekend for my first hunt of the year and it was cold, windy, and flurries of snow coming down at times, but I did manage and nice 1907 indian head cent.
My buddy found a 1964 silver dime.. just did make it.
Keep up the good finds,
Felix

My God my hearts hurts looking at such a beautiful hunt.
All I .say is Way To Go.
I'm riding around looking for some open areas and there's still too much snow.
Still having indoor fun with the Xterra 305, but glad you posted your hunt.

Happy Hunting
Bruce

no the clad has not been cleaned yet, just rinsed the big chunks off. I do tumble my clad once I get about 2lbs. I have a 3lb tumbler but don't fill it all the way

That is really good. Glad you had such a rewarding hunt. That is really a good job and you did good. Very inspiring to the rest of us. Keep it up.

cold? or not it was nice, mid 40's, zero wind, and full sunshine. I actually got hot and had to take my coat off.....lol

I see you got out .I did yesterday found a spot with no snow .Suppose to be 47 degrees today trying to find another spot with no snow.Nice finds

Nice finds. On two different occasions how do 9 and then 8 quarters get into one hole I wonder. Maybe you have uncovered the proceeds from a childs lemon-aid stand burried hoard.

Goes4ever, are you going to use the 9" 3 kHz Concentric for this year again?

On page 48 of the X-70's instruction manual it says for the Low (3 kHz): This frequency is more suited to searching for larger, deeper targets, higher conductivity coins (ex. most US coins), and also has improved ferrous rejection. These coils (notice the plural "s" when only one 3 kHz coil is available) have a grey number label with a the letter L. (Maybe another 3 kHz coil is planned for the future, or we may never ever see another new X-Terra coil of any kind.)

Really, I would like to have both an elliptical 18"x11" LF and HF(for gold) DD, and a 6" LF DD. A coil suited to deeper targets, higher conductivity coins (ex. most US coins), and also improved ferrous(Iron) rejection is what I want for coin hunting being a LF(3 kHz).

Dude you are killing me.
You are always pulling good numbers and silver. That's a good thing. I've been out 5 times and got 3 wheats and a 1950s Canadian penny. Plus a little clad. I am hitting pennies in the early 60s and dimes and quarters from 65 but no silver! Oh yeah and about 5 lbs of brass faucets and sprinklers.

David I have heard that 6" CC MF is super hot from a local guy who uses it.
