Got me an F-75 have'nt used it yet working all weekend Ill try it out next week.
Cosmetic wise its one nice looking detector.
Seems they've addressed some of the T-2 issues also.
Handgrip looks to be built stronger less flexing.Almost looks like some sort of fiber maybe added to the plastics. Its pretty firm now!
The cam locks on the poles also seem to be of a higher grade plastic over the t-2. mine cracked on the t-2 after little use.
Lower rod is the same fisher lower rod they've used for years.Much better than the bounty hunter one they were using on the t-2.No way this one will break.
Coil also seems to be better sealed around the tuning compartment on top they have epoxied it shut.(wish they would give a coil cover with the detector that would be nice)
They've added foam like material under the control box where you're hand touches the bottom of the housing nice touch.
They have also included rain dust covers for the battery compartment and control housing that fit nice and are really appreciated.
Over all I would say nice improvements and if the detector performs as the t-2(I know what the T-2's weaknesses and strengths are) I'll be happy. If it performs better this will probably be one of the industry leading detectors in the coming months.
If we get some optional coils theres no looking back.
This detector seems to be put together with fisher quality weve been used too.
Ive played with it a little here at the job site and have run the sensitivity up in the upper 90's with very little chatter and the airtest are impressive.Sounds just like the t-2 in the 2 tone mode other mode's might be different I dont know Im stuck in 2 tone.
Noticed when turning machine on instead of the wa wa sound the t-2 makes this one is quite just flashing a large F on the screen. so there is esomthing different in the electronics for sure.
Threshld resolution seems better one of my gripes on the t-2 was it was to loud or was'nt there this one seems to have more segments.
Also the tone change of the threshold is awesome in my book this may prove to be a great feature for the real deep targets.(always nice to be able to conform a detector to you're hearing range of sounds)
Last settings and backlight are also welcome additions.
Just some thoughts for the first few minutes of looking it over.
Ill get out with it next week weather is going to be in the 70's so ill run it through the paces at some relic sites
See how it handles the iron.
