Got my AT Pro on Tuesday and it has stormed every evening since

Got home from work on Tuesday and there it was.. Put it together and BAMMM the rain and major storms moved in...Lost part of our roof. I hope Garrett didn't include a lightning rod or something in it also...It has rained every evening... I know it is water proof but 70 mile an hour winds and hail is more than I will even take for a new metal detector. Okay I did take it outside for a couple of minutes...I think I'm going to like it...found a old lighter and a penny in that short time.
I'M GLAD I GOT THAT OUT.. HURTS TO HOLD ALL THAT FRUSTRATION IN FOR TO LONG...:nopity:

Yea I have read the manual front to back and back to front and I probably have watched 100 different youtube videos on the AT PRO...

Sorry to hear about the roof. Hope nothing else was destroyed and no one was injured.

You will really enjoy using this machine, it is serious FUN!

Be patient as the weather will be good soon and if you are watching the Garrett videos, you will be proficient at the start.

Thanks.. Trying to get the roof fixed between rains...If all goes well might get the shingles back on tomorrow...We live in Southeast Mo. and alot of damage from tornado's here. But no deaths reported..It's amazing how tornado's pick and choose what they destroy and not touch something next to it..

in the long run. Read and re-read the manual, play with the controls, do some air testing with lots of different stuff you've found(why on earth would a guy save old square nails otherwise??), and research up some olde sites to hit when the weather clears. The anticipation is part of the fun. I feel your pain. Lots of OT at work so weekends are my best bet...and the wife has them booked up for the next couple of weeks. Siiiigh, what's a guy to do?? HH. Bob.

You are correct... I've got rusted up and unidentifiable stuff I've found and about every coin in any condition imaginable..I'm going to do some air test and make some notes..
Thanks for the great idea..:detecting:

You must know that Murphy's Law guy pretty well :)

Throw some quarters around the house! Lol.

Quarters,,I think I'll throw around some silver and wheaties and maybe a ring or two and post what a great day of hunting I had...Might even include some pictures...LOL:lol:

Pretty soon the rain will stop, the skies will clear, the sun will shine, the AT Pro will get fired up and fill your goody bag with some great finds!

You might also give some thought as to what to put in your test garden.

I recently moved after 25 years in one place and I will need to put a test garden in, but the wife is already talking about wanting out of California.

Who can blame her on that, I want out of here too.

Well at least they are water proof! I mean, at least you have the option to go out in the rain.....
Glad to hear no one was hurt! Happy huntin'.......eventually

St. Louis was hit pretty hard here in Missouri last night.. And we are again having storms now and all the way through Wed..May be a few days before they can fix my roof.. Hope the Tarps hold up. One day at a time...Gotta laugh to keep from crying....I think between storms I will go out and see how many old roofing nails I can find with my new AT PRO to save a couple of dollars.. Anybody have VDI number for them..LOL:sadwalk:
