Got my 8x6 sef coil today

Man this coil is sweeeeeet! Ray had said that it was stable, and it is. Hunted with it for about 1 1/2 hours this evening down at the rodeo arena. They had moved a couple of bleachers to mow under them, you talk about trashy! I had no falsing at all. The one thing I noticed right off is that even with fast off, if you get a tone signal in the coin mode, you get a Fe-Co reading on the target also. This was with it being so trashy that the was no threshold tone. With the stock coil on the etrac in high trash, it seems like even if you get a good signal on tone, it's tuff to get a fe-co reading, not so with the 8x6. None of the stuff in the picture was very deep, nothing over 4", but that's ok because the ground is so dry and hard here that I was using a screw driver to dig with, no way to get a hand digger into or thru it. The silver dime is a very worn 1898. So far I'm really impressed with the coil. HH Ken-ks

I thought you would like it! Starting to get dry here also.I have not used any other coil since I got mine.Just been hitting the trashy areas and got a pile of goodies so far but no time to post.Maybe tomorrow,Ray.

[size=large]I have an opinion on comparing the 2.........I owned the SunRay 5" till I sold it on EBay a couple weeks ago..........Nice lil coil, depth to about 6 1/2"......Great for trashy area, but you have to move real slow threw the trash.............I almost wish I had kept it,and may buy another -or- the excellerator 5"..I tried my buddies 6 x 8 sef,and fell in Love with it.Great in the trash, great Tones,
Great Depth....I was continually finding 4-7" silver......I called my buddy over on a signal I got that in swing had the depth meter at about 8-10"........I dug down about 7-8",and then had to call him over.....It was still 13/42 on my sunray, and I had to have him watch as I un-earthed this thing....had my probe in the hole lil past the plastic nut at the top (9" ?)....Then I pulled out a thin 3/4" copper washer.....I was not depressed, cause I learned what a deepy sounds like on the 6 x 8".....I ordered mine, and will have it wensday............Both coils are good in the trash, but the 6 x 8" SEF goes deeper, and covers more Ground.........That's MY take on the subject....H.H. ALL

My 6x8 arrives early next week, and I regret I didn't pay a little extra for expedited shipping. I can't wait to take it some of the trashy parks in S.F. to see if I can find some silver amongst the huge amount of trash and iron. If the performance of this coil matches the hype I've seen on this and the Explorer forum, then I'm changing my user name to trashslayer. I'll post my results after a couple of hunts.

THe more i read about this coil the more i think i should get one.. I read that review in lost treasure that Andy Sabisch did and he also said good things about it compared to the 11 inch DD coil that comes on the Se and E-tracs.

Not to mention he said you could get right next to a fence without falsing. thats a plus in parks around here..

Mention Findmall and get free shipping.
