GOT MY 5 INCH COIL FOR THE IMPACT

Low-Boy/LCPM

Active member
It came one day early from Turkey with coil cover and hardware...one week is all it took...I'm going to test it this Sat and a campsite

You had a 'test' Impact and it's too bad you didn't order that 5" DD coil way back when it was announced about last May. You would have had all that time to take it to some of the trashier sites you might hunt, but the good news is you found a Nokta Dealer who cares about serving Nokta Consumers and it's in your hands now. :clapping:

Just remember that although it offers a lot of potential for challenging debris sites, it still needs to be worked at a slow-and-methodical sweep speed with ample overlapping. When I got my 5" DD mounted, the field performance of the Impact in nasty iron littered ghost towns was very noticeable over the results I got with the 4X7½ DD Pro Pack coil. That's a good coil for some Coin Hunting applications, but suffered in a close iron nail contaminated site. The 5" DD is my 'go-to' coil on the Impact for really challenging sites. The 7" Concentric is my main-use Impact coil, and when the going gets rough, out comes the 5" that's mounted on a spare lower rod.

Work it patiently and efficiently for a while and be sure to give us a report on your successes and what you learn.
