Got my 1236x2 today

The UPS truck dropped off my 1236x2 late this afternoon, put it all together and tested on a few coins I tossed on the lawn, seemed to work fine. I had about 1/2 an hour or so until it was dark so I decided to take it to a park. Got 6 coins and a ring. The ring was the 1st. target I got, came as a nice surprise as I like finding jewelry. I read in manual and have read posts on the forums stating that you should hear a slight threshold sound on the 1236x2 if you max out the sensitivity, mine is quiet when the sens. is maxed out. Should this be a concern, and not having the threshold with sens. maxed reduce depth. Didn't seem to find any deep coins but this was my first time with the detector and only used it for about a half hour or so. I took a couple minutes and tried the 5" coil, nice little coil but the stock coil seperates pretty well. Steve.
