Got my 10.5" HF DD

Finally I found a used 10.5" DD 18.75 KHz coil for my X-Terra 70. Got it from the UK. That's a fine thing for me, because shipping was cheap and I haven't to pay tax or custom fees. Tried the coil today in a local park. I have to say that it works very well for me. You can cover a lot of ground, run it with a higher sensitivity as the standard concentric coil on the same ground and even pinpointing was easy (I would recommend to use the pinpoint mode and X-cross the target to locate it). I could only spend an hour hunting, but found a couple of older coins, a heard shaped (cheap) pendant and a small earring. I cant wait to use that coil on a beach or for relic hunting.

Have a nice day, Peter

Got my 10x5 coil the other day had it out for an hour today, before the kids took over the park. I got a penny and a nickle in the same hole then I locked on two more nickles. it is an amazing coil!!!!

You will notice your recovery speed is far better than the stock coil(use all metal) and it really finds tiny items.

It's good to hear this feedback I'm selling my ace 250 to get this coil and some new headphones. Grant

As soon as I find the time I will do some additional testing with the 10.5 DD HF coil.
I will dig a hole and insert some (European) coins in the side wall of the hole using a plastic ruler.
That way the coin is in a nearly undisturbed ground condition. I will try several depths and maybe compare the result too the standard concentric MF coil.
Have a nice day, Peter
