Its my first land md so im exicted and i know i will be updating to mxt or soverign gt but hey it a good one.Tell more about this at pro?

It's water proof (not water resistant) so it's a water machine too. Once you learn the tones in the Pro Mode you are just going to fall in love :inlove: with it. I suggest you also get your hands on a 5" x 8" coil to compliment the Pro, as it is an excellent coil for getting good targets out of trashy areas. We look forward to seeing your finds.! If you have any questions.....just fire away!

Thank you for the response,What's the best depth it reaches on land and water

Depends -.size of target, target conductivity, shape of targett, length of time target has been in the ground, mineralization. The AT Pro meets and beats depth of some metal detectors costing 2 x as much $$$..

Whats the difference between water proof/water resistant, to me you can throw the AT PRO in the water and it floats, and still the detector will work, and i can also use it in rain......So for me that means the entire machine is totaly water proof/Resistant.till certain depth......

Back on the subject,I love the AT Pro,especially in pro mode,my mate has the expensive E-Trac, and my AT PRO Won on Silver and small gold nuggets.
for me there is nothing yet better than the AT Pro/AT Gold.
this is the best of the Garrett Line.

I couldn't agree more.
Garrett has a great detector here that is cutting edge on price, weight and performance.
My last ML detector cost twice as much and didn't go as deep as the AT Pro and was much heavier without displays.

I think Garrett has hit a home run with the At Series being so versatile as they are. Half my detecting time (which isn't much at this point ((40-50 hrs maybe)) has been in the rain.

I did a lot of research on different mds before buying my AT Pro about 3 months ago. The one thing I found more important than depth with a md is stability in different types of soils. I md in a high mineral area (91-93) and the AT has run great in this environment.

Reading most of the Find Mall posts here was instrumental in my decision making. Great bunch of folks here I must say and very informative.

I have to say thanks to everyone here on the AT Series forum for that. That's what brought me here today to just give my 2 cents for what it's worth.:)

:)

Neither of those machines is an upgrade. They can't hold a candle to the ATP in the iron. The Sov will null out when it hits iron and the MXT....fahgitaboutit!! The ATP will snoop around in that iron laden stuff and sniff out the keepers. I've got an old house yard I've been hunting on and off for a good while that is infested with square nails and bits of old metal roofing. I thought I had found most of everything on it till I ran the ATP with the stock coil over it. I started pulling up deep buffaloes, V's and wheats, all surrounded by nails and stuff that had masked them to all of the other machines I had tried. Soon I'll make a trip back there with the 5 x 8 coil that should give me even better separation and even more keepers.

The e-Trac was made to find deep silver...The AT Pro and Gold are made to hit on tiny gold objects, but they also love round coin shaped objects as well...I have dug dimes at 10+ inches with the AT Pro...Water resistant means you can have it out in a light rain and make it back to the car, but fully dunk it, and you probably have a new walking stick....Water Proof means it does not need a stinkin' badge to go in the water....Dunk away!
