Well I played with a nice brand new AT PRO today for couple hours. Sure is nice. My Infinium headphones worked on it...the Infinium submersables did not. As per what Garrett said it wouldnt.
Hey Uncle Willy, my headphones jack is NOT going on and p i s s i n g me off, just like yours!
So I stand corrected on my previous comments about the connector. However the coil connector went on smooth as silk. Still havent got the headphones connected. Bill says use some needle nose...ok got to go get them out of the tool box now.
All my other headphones went on with ease than the new ones, they are difficult for some reason. I doubt all that come off the line are like that but these are. When the connectors go on smooth I didnt mind the limited space to hook them up, but when they are a bear to go on, its tough to turn them with the limited space. Hope all arent lke that.
Ok some quick air test:
I swung some items in the air without a measuring tape just to get familiar with it. A one oz silver coin, quarter, nickle, dime, keychain ring 1" diam, 5 small lead "nuggets from .6 gram to .1 gram.
Intersting thing is a nickle almost got the same depth as the big silver coin....seems this machine is really tweaked for low conductors. The .6 gram lead piece seemed about 6 inches without the tape but I was suprised. Maybe more. The small lead pieces hit a suprising distance from the coil. Much better than my other machines..2500, Infinium, 250, Scorpion.
Ok, gonna do some test on some real GOLD NUGGETS (I have lots) tommorrow and see how she fairs. Most likely on video.
Also, I like the new coil...gonna get one for my 2500.
