Got up to 2 degrees above freezing, which in this part of the world means hunting season. All the standing water in puddles is frozen solid, however, the ground in the woods is still soft. Looks like the woods and snow hills will be my territory for the next 6 months. I like the variety of different places and targets for each season. Variety is the spice of life :). No more leaves left in this part of the world either.

Bring on some snow

Here's about 1 1/2 hours worth of hunting. The sun set, so I walked out of the woods in the dark. I really wish we wouldn't turn back the clocks here, as it cuts out an hour of my hunting :(

Here's the better finds of the day. I squeezed in a silver dime and also go a welcomed Rosevelt dime. Seven coins in the woods in this short period of time is OK in my books :).

You always have some great finds. I would love to hunt with you sometime, but I glad you don't live near me.
We have had flurries all week. Nothing sticking. The wind is what is killing me.

It gets pretty windy here too, especially when the winds are from the north. That's why I switch over to hunting in the woods. it's a lot more comfortable.

Nice find but you got more guts than me, Course when I was younger it didn't faze me. Try working 50-60 stories up in a wide open high rise in the dead of winter with a strong wind blowing or freezing rain if you want to know what freezing your arse off is like.
