first i want to thank everyone for talking me into buying one! i just happened to have an extra 1500 bucks that was burning a hole in my pocket! anyways.. i seem to be having trouble seeing the display. i messed with the contrast and tried wearing my glasses, but i still get alot of glare. i think the rain cover i got has alot to do with it. does anyone have a sugestion?

Is it still that way when you turn on the back light?

Yeah, that is a flaw that I wish ML would have fixed on this unit. The screen needs to be angled up a little. The raincover is almost impossible to use, I cant see a thing. I ordered a screen protector from zagg and am hoping to get it in a few days so I can take the raincover off, it is driving me nuts.

Forget the rain cover. If you are concerned about moisture, wrap the control box with Saran Wrap. But remember to take this off when you get home to prevent moisture from being trapped inside.

I ordered and installed the clear protective screen cover from Z - A - G - G dot com and love it.

Hope this helps.

Don't get rid of the rain cover, just cut the plastic out of it. Then get the adhesive protective screen cover like someone suggested. I have found them in a 5 pack at Walmart over in the electronics and cell phones. I have used the protective film on my camera LCD, and my phone. The problem is anytime you have a plastic cover over plastic with air in between, like with the rain cover, you get reflection inside from plastic to plastic and back again. The adhesive protective screen film protects the screen but eliminates the air in between. I would leave your cover in place to protect your machine from dirt and general scratches etc.

BCOT!

What you've suggested works very well, as I've used the adhesive "palm pilot" screen protectors. I've found for me, the Invisible shield from "zee a gee gee" (That might or might not get thru, break that down from words to letters, if you don't know they aren't a sponsor, so the company name gets censured out), works much better. It's more expensive but I think it works very well protecting the screen from scratches and has much less glare than rain/dust cover!
