I went to my usual spot and thought I was not going to get my gold fix for the day LOL I have always gotten @ least 1 from here. I was digging an iffy. First I scooped the gravel out and the target was packed in the hard gray clay. I chipped away for 10 min. Still in the hole. I kicked hard and pryed up some clay and the target was still in the hole but I looked in the basket and saw a beautiful 14k ring and had a bonus in the hole. 1 of the 3 silver rosies. The ring say's "From Barb to Gene. 7-7-58. That would be something if I could locate them. HH Metalmiester

I hope you are able to find the owner. This has the making for a book deal and a made-for-tv movie...

Great finds!

Your immediate thoughts of locating the owners..

I am not sure yet on how to go about this. I stand to be corrected on the insription on the inside. It says "With love Barb to Gene 6-7-58. The site used to be a pay beach in the 50's and the 60's. People from Chicago would flock to this area so I could advertise this in the tribune? Just a thought The couple would be in their 70's.

Even with initials and a date, you still have NO idea what county they were married in. I gave up on one wedding ring after trying 6 counties. You don't have a last name either. I have returned over 30 class rings and some of them take me years to find the owners. I still have about 10 I am searching for.

I wish you luck and that you might find the needle in the haystack your looking for!! Nice ring
