Got lucky with the weather.

Those older dog tags are very collectible, some of the older ones very valuable. A friend of mine got 2, one a 1899 and the older a 1897 and got $70 apiece for them. I got this 1888 this summer and got a offer of a 1880 $5 gold piece in AU and a 1843 seated half or $210 cash, will take the coins.

Wow thanks for the info I'll have to go back through my buckets of stuff (other than coins) and see how many more I have. It's amazing how much crap you accumulate over the years. I have to hide it from the wife so it dosent get tossed out.

My offer comes from a guy in Rochester, MN that collect trade tokens and Dog tags. The older the tags the better they are, the ones in the 1800 are the best. I have got several gold coins and some nice older early 1800 coins from him now for some trade tokens and dog tags with this one I posted the best.
A few years ago there was a person on the Explorer form that was asking to buy old dog tags also.
