Got into some poison ivy....

At work I was pulling weeds, or what I thought was weeds, without wearing gloves and didn't think anything of it until I got home that night. This was the worst case of poison ivy I've had since my teens. Poison ivy running down both legs and arms, both hands were so swelled up it was hard to hold things for awhile. This happened a month ago and I'm still itching a little although it's pretty much gone now. Take care everyone and God Bless.

Glad you are almost over it! Take care buddy! :)

bad many, many times....even my face when a child on the farm. YUCKY & ITCHY ISN'T EVEN THE NAMEs FOR IT! I swell with redness and get the weepy kind with huge blisters and get very, very ill!

Glad you are getting over it, as it takes a while to get rid of it!

God Bless!
Betty

I had that nasty stuff once-it was worst on the inside edges of my fingers...constantly rubbing them together when I moved my hands...

Sorry to hear that. I used to get that real bad when I was a kid. I had to go to the doctor and they gave me shots to keep me from getting it but they did'nt work. My dad told me something I could try which was told to him by his grandfather ( he was the one who married and Indian). He said I could eat some but there was a chance I could get it inside. I waited till winter and I chewed on a dry twig off a vine. Never got it then and haven't been bothered by it since. Hope you get better soon.
