Got into some lead today

I went to a old spot that's now being developed. They're cutting right through the camp. These are probably the last relics that'll come from this spot. I'm glad I got to hunt it one last time.

Lol. Old and new. Old dirt with history and new soccer field with history to be made. Nice haul of bullets. CCH

I'll check it out next weekend to see what's been done. I'm betting all of the top soil will be in a big pile.

Awesome haul on the lead! Sorry to see your site go. Progress cares not about history. Sadly, residential and commercial development has destroyed the skirmish site in my little town as well.

Thanks buddy. This is one spot in a battle line about 7 miles long. A battle that never went down like it could've. I've been hunting the middle part of it for years. Lots of it are being consumed by housing developments. Most all of it has at least a new home or something on it. Some hasn't been touched yet. The battle lines are around a mile away from each other. I can stand on one side or the other & see the lines. I know this not much is found on the front of there position except fired bullets. Topography playes a big roll in infantry tactics.

Thats a great day of digging. Too bad your losing your hunting grounds. Mine have mostly all turned into sub-divisions and strip malls too.
