Got into a Union camp last weekend

and it was loaded with cut nails. There were dropped bullets and eagle buttons mixed in with the nails. I dug 20 bullets and 3 eagle buttons in about an hour. I hunted it with a Minelab Explorer, and it really struggled. Im going back Sunday and was thinking about taking my AT Gold. I would really appreciate any advice on settings to pick the buttons up and blank out the nails.Im still not that good with the Gold yet,And I think there may be a plate or two in there. HH

I would hunt in all metal or disc 1 with iron reject set to 39 or so to start. If in all metal the iron reject only works with iron audio on. So get a target look at the VDI if it's low in the iron range switch to iron audion and check for the grunt. Disc 1 will just reject most nails and you should still get buttons and other good stuff. I think you will do well with the ATG at that location. I'd give it a serious run and check the nails on the ground first to set your iron reject level.
