Took the ace out to my favourite spot for a couple of hours today to become better acquainted with it. I'm quite surprised with how much audio information this machine can give you, considering it is only a single pitch machine. Also noticed how you can use the depth indicator to help sort out the good targets from bad. I thought that the bell tone was going to be a bit annoying, but I'm finding that is really a major asset to the machines performance.
The coin count wasn't that high. Four $2 coins, one 1 cent, one 2 cent coin and my first silver coin for the Ace, a 1956 Shilling! This is the first silver coin that I have found at this site and only my second ever shilling. Not bad for it's second outing. I think that this machine might make my other machine a bit jealous and less used.
Regards.
