Got busted in a corn field.

Stopped at a corn field close to my house and though I would give it a try.Had a friend with me for some company as it was late afternoon.We detected for about 1 1/2 hours with not many targets to dig.I was able to uncover a 180? Draped Bust Large Cent out of the 7-8 items that I dug.My friend came away with a musket ball so we think some return visits to this field are in order.

I could make out the design after cleaning it up to ID the coin.Then I took some 0000 steel wool to it lightly to raise the date and some more detail.Here are a couple quick photos.

That would p*ss me off for a long time.Hope that you get some chance to get out if the rain stops.At some point were going to have to meet up again.Bruce is going to replace the other hip early June,so he will be layed up for a little bit.Get the black beast assembled and get some ghetto gold.
