It was so dang hot, I chose to hunt instead of having supper. I hunted for about 3 hours with the GTI 2500 and got just under 150 coins. I found a nice religious medallion, a nice addition to my religious medallion collection.

You get the religious stuff and I get the AA stuff...ehehe. Good job John.

The medal is the ever popular Miraculous Medal, a devotional to the Virgin Mary. Always nice to turn up the old girl...
You get the religious stuff and I get the AA stuff...ehehe. Good job John.
I never found AA stuff but plenty of religious medals and an NA ring (Narcotics Anonymous).

Hey John, are you the only one where you live with a detector? How much loot did you find last year? You must have lots of parks and schools there..

I ask him the same thing all the time, Mickey. He just smiles with that Cheshire Cat grin of his...

He must have an endless supply of treasure sites I went to a park today for about three hours and found 29 coins and one chopped up silver ring. I wish I knew his secret?

There's several others metal detecting, and I am surrounded by schools, plus have many on the way home from work. Edmonton is at the million people mark, so there are lots of places to detect.

Some of the other detectorists only hunt for old coins and relics. Myself......I hunt for everything. It never gets boring.
