Got back to the same spot tonight with a plan

I went back after work to the spot where I found the Kettle Point yesterday and gridded it in two directions total of about 100' X 100'
I had everything cranked up to max levels but stable. I was doing what I call "digging whispers " I dug quite a bit of very deep iron and lead waste but also got rewarded with some dropped musket balls and a 1/2 Reale 1785. Get out there guys this isn't a renewable resource.

A man with a plan shows he can!! Great thinking Todd I need to do more of this type of detecting!

Yep even around here (southern WI) I go every second that I can because it's definitely a finite thing...it's gone when it's gone. And the very next find could be just about unbelievable.
I'd love to find an overgrown half dime like that but hell,I can't even find a Stander! Gotta keep it within reason....

Same plan for me today Todd! I am going to shift gears and try some equipment changes ie big coil. Depth and field size are my issues. The site is an old football field/school house. Lots of old coins and artifacts but no Spanish silver lol, like IDX said must keep it in perspective, North MO./ IA. likely wont produce much that department. That being said I did dig a KG 2 half penny this spring :surprised: Pictures to follow at 10 :beers:
