Had a great time. Didnt find too many keepers, and didnt even get the opportunity to break out the gold pan. I did talk to a gentleman that does a lot of nugget hunting in the area. He had photos with lots of nuggets that he found in the area. I was really drooling! I spent most of the time hunting a couple of small ghost towns instead. Boy was the trash heavy. They had small chunks of tin cans spread everywhere, and they sounded so inviting. Found lots of little do-dads, but I had the most fun just exploring the area. The only thing I didnt like was the ticks. You walk out through the sage brush, and you had 4-5 of the little buggers marching up your pant leg.
I had one keeper. It is a chinese coin, circa sometime before 1890. That is the last date that the town that I searched was in existance. I was really excited to find it. It made the whole trip.

Can you believe that this used to be a prospering town?

I've got another shot or two to share later. Thanks for the prayers. I appreciated it!
