Got another large cent today!!

I found this 1810 large cent today while searching around an old house that dates back into the 1800's.
We also found some wheat pennies dating back to 1919.
This is the same place I found a " ball button " the last time I hunted there.
It's hard to tell what else is in the ground as the hunting is somewhat difficult due to high grass and tree limbs laying about in the yard. May have to do some yard work after finding this today.
Thanks for looking,
Felix

That is awesome! What did you use to clean the large cent with? Most of the copper cents I find are wheat pennies and they are so dirty I can't clean them enough to make out the date..

hello fw, that sure is a nice large cent you got there. in fact, its so nice you didnt even let the water dry out on it before you took the pic!!! hahaha, i know youre excited, because i sure would be too! good job, its good to see a date on one, the last two i found in the last three weeks are dateless. hh,

MAN WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET ONE OF THOSE. :rage: THAT IS ON MY DREAM LIST FOR THIS YEAR. AWESOME FIND 1810 SWEET!!!!!!!!:clapping:

I first brushed it with a toothbrush under some warm water and then let it soak in some hydrogen peroxide and then rinsed it again.
I'm trying to find something that will get some gloss back on it so the details are more noticeable.
I just left the coin wet to get the photo as the details stand out better than when it is dry.

hey fw, this fella named "neil in west jersey" who posts on here sometimes boils his copper coins in peroxide. it works good, then i like to put a thin coat of olive oil on the coin. that works good too, or you can use vegetable oil. hh,

man, I hope to find a large cent someday...

GREAT FINDS, I ALSO USE PEROXIDE AND OLIVE OIL TO CLEAN AND PRESERVE MY COPPER FINDS.
