The widow of one of my best friends who used to be my fishing, tecting, prospecting partner, called and said she was scrounging around in the attic and found some old trasure mags and she had them bundled up and waiting for me. So I jumped in the car and boogied over there and picked up nearly 100 old mags from the late sixties and early seventies. Now I have another pile to add to the thousand or so I have. Included were some Western Treasures the precursors to Western & Eastern Treasures, and True Treasures the precursor to Lost Treasure. Lots of good reading.

Yeah I like the oldies because they had more pages, longer stories, and weren't loaded with advertising. Nowadays your stories are limited to about 1500 words to make room for advertising.

The mags given me are Lost Treasure - True Treasure - Treasure World - Western Treasures ( precursor to W&ET ), Treasure Trails, and a few copies of Gold. I have about a 1000 copies of all the treasure mags going back to 1961. What handle did you write under? I started writing back around 1983 and have about 600 articles under my belt.
