Finished off the soccer field I started a while back. My first hunt only lasted 10 minutes, as those mosquitoes were just too over-whelming for me. I did return a couple more times to finish it off. There were several pennies from the 40's, usually a good sign for silver, but that never happened. The field did give up a lot of loot, a nice by-product for ring searching.

L@@ks like you put it to that field......

Amazingly you just described the field I am presently mining piece mill. Its a chainlink fenced field (High School) that the outfield of the baseball field also incorporates into a soccer field! Mine is only a few years old and I've only "mined" about a third of it..........LOTS of can slaw. Not finding much on the actual field itself , most coming from the bleachers and concession stand.

Went up this morning early, looked at it (field) like I was going into a dentist office for a root canal, turned around and went back home.* I have several of these partially mined fields that just don't get my mojo flowing, mostly due to their lack of age and resulting lack targets.

* Ok the truth was it was thundering in the distance like a stampeading buffalo herd, and Rod Serling advised me to go home

Great finds John. You are an inspiration! Do you have any tips you'd care to share on how to lay out a search grid?
Thanks!
